Running a business while you’re in survival mode?

That’s tough.

It takes courage to push through the messy middle when everything feels uncertain. I’ve had clients walk through my doors in the middle of a divorce, an unexpected job loss, or life-changing events, feeling like they’re barely holding it together. It’s okay if you’re not where you thought you’d be right now. You’re allowed to pause, to breathe, to regroup. Remember, every setback is part of the story, not the end of it. In the spring, I had the honour of capturing @healing.mindscounselling and since then, this woman has been on FIRE 🔥

She just landed her dream office space in downtown Collingwood - a much deserved win after her 12-16 hour days finishing her masters degree, working at Hospice, and managing her own private practice. All while being an incredible mom.

Jenn - you’re an inspiration and deserve all the good things coming your way. Can’t wait to capture your new space and celebrate your next chapter 🥳

Does anyone else have summer whiplash?

We’re officially in the ‘ber months 🍂

When you hear Q4 is around the corner, it can cause some panic & overwhelm.

Have I done enough?

Setting up your goals and taking it 24 hours at a time helps. I can spiral easily when I look at the big picture. Taking it into small actionable steps helps me feel more accomplished and take in the little moments that turned out to be the big ones.

1. Timeless pieces that you’ll wear again and again. This will help you be recognizable.

2. Something that suits the space. If you’re in a neutral studio, you have a lot more options to play with. If it’s already packed with colour, consider something complimentary.

3. An outfit that fits without tears or stains. It’s really that simple!

Don’t stress too much about what to wear. Your best accessory is your smile anyway 😜

Some weeks I feel like I’m crushing productivity.

Other weeks I’m beating myself up for not doing enough.

The truth is, giving yourself space and grace to start over again and again is admirable. It doesn’t mean you failed, it means you’re resilient enough to try again.

I lean on my support systems, both tech and human, to keep my tasks in check and my energy cup full.
